- Tintagel is a village on the
Atlantic coast famous for its association with King Arthur.

- The castle remains stand partly on the cliffs and partly on a
narrow split of land, this was actually built in 1145 for the Earl
of Cornwall. Paths descend from the village to a shingle beach and
Merlin's Cave.

- Sailing on the Camel Estuary. Harbour authorities
should be consulted about off shore sailing.

- Surfing
- At Bude and Widemouth, with frequent venues for
the National Surfing championships Trebarwith Strand, about a mile
south of Tintagel is good for ordinary surfing.
