white painted and slate-hung houses run down the steep sides of a Coombe
to the sheltered harbour.

- The old village is set in a steep sided valley with narrow alleys between the
unspoilt huddle of slate cottages and old pilchard cellars. The small
shingle beach with several working crabbers faces an old inn.
Port Isaac was the location for the famous Poldark TV series.
- Restricted access for vehicles protects the old world charm of the village. Parking is available at the top of the hill with distant views of
Tintagel to the east.
Port Isaac beach
The beach is a wide, flat expanse of pebbles and fine sand,
at low tide it is possible to park on the beach next to the moored
boats. Toilets, snacks and pubs are close by.
